Viewpoint

A saved view of a model — camera position, visible and selected elements, sections — used to show exactly where an issue is.
Updated 5 November 2026Draft · awaiting review

A viewpoint stores how a model was being looked at: the camera position and direction, field of view, clipping planes, and which elements were visible, hidden, selected or coloured.

In BCF, each issue carries one or more viewpoints, so the person receiving it opens the model at exactly the right place in their own software.
