A BIM coordinator federates the task teams' models, runs clash tests and model checks, groups results into issues, and runs or supports coordination meetings. Coordinators often work at task team level and at lead appointed party level.
The title varies between companies. ISO 19650 describes functions rather than job titles; coordination is one of the information management functions.
