A location breakdown structure divides a project into named parts: sites, buildings, levels, zones, rooms. It answers "where?" consistently across models, drawings, the construction programme and the cost plan.
When the model, the programme and the cost plan share the same breakdown, 4D sequencing, quantity splits and progress tracking become much easier. Volume and level codes in container names often follow it.
