An asset register lists every maintainable asset — plant, equipment, systems, sometimes spaces — with an asset tag, type, location, manufacturer, installation date, warranty and maintenance information.
It usually lives in a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) or asset management system. Project handover data such as COBie is often produced to populate it, so asset tags and names should follow the operator's conventions.
